Another Shattered Cabra Kai Record

Congratulations team. In week 12 we shattered another Cobra Kai record with a single week high of 539.835 miles. Great job.

We are now just 13.7 miles back going into the week 13 results. Great job team, I can't wait to see if we passed them this past week.

Our team was propelled by Eric who turned in 55 miles, just a mile below his PR. Eric also past Grant on our top contributers list moving into 3rd place just 10 miles behind Duerk.

New team record!

With 507.758 miles, we are gaining on 1st, only 70 miles back. We can definitely catch the Cobra Kai with one or two good weeks. Keep up the good work.

This week, our team was propelled by PRs from Heather, John and Eric. Eric turned in the high miles for the week with 56.958 and is closing in on Grant in the total miles standings.

Great week team, let's keep it up!

Finally, 2nd place!

With the addition of the ex-Road Runners, we have now moved into 2nd place! Great job team! I would like to schedule a Lunch walk for tomorrow (thursday) with as many Bolt runners as possible. Spread the word.

A few notes; Heather, Janesse, Rebecca, Jeanne and Grant set new PRs in week 9 and John set a new PR in week 10. Great job, keep up the good work.

Let's catch the Cobra Kai!

I have updated the records to include Road Runner numbers and added a few new team stats to track.

Week 7

Sorry I was late to post the totals.  We posted a solid week in week 7.  Rebecca did great, posting a new PR.  We did fall back from 2st and second a bit.  I do not know the totals for week 8 yet but it looks like we are all going to need to push a little harder in week 9 so we can stay in this thing.

Great job team, everyone has really locked in and is delivering consistent miles.  Keep up the good work.

Another Great Week!

We fell just short of knocking the Cobra Kai out of the record book with our week 6 effort.  We finished with 330.6, one tenth of a mile short of the Cobra Kai team high and 3rd place all time record.

Great job.  We gained a little ground by getting solid efforts from every member of the team.  Eric turned in the team high for the week for the second straight week with just over 51 miles.  Jeanne, set a new PR with 48 miles.  John, hit the ground running, or walking with a solid conrtibution as well.

Great job guys, we are staying with the lead pack.  If we can maintain our consistancy, we will win this thing.

Go Bolts!

The Bar Keeps Raising

The Easy Striders turned in a huge week and broke our single week record.  However, we turned in another great week with over 300 miles.  Janesse and Rebecca had great weeks setting new PR's.   Janesse has increased her weekly total every week of the competition so far.

Eric also had a great week with the 2nd place, all time record for our team of 56.199 miles.

Chris had her second consecutive strong week and the rest of our team continues to contribute at a steady pace.  I was sorry to see Priscilla go and hope she gets well soon but we welcome John to the team.

'Insain' Saturday

I am fortunate enough to work with my brother-in-law and my sister.  Even better, somehow, based on the exercise estimates we turned in, we all ended up on the same team for this competition as well.

Daniel, Janesse and I have been talking since the competition began about how we
needed to have a family get together and play some sports.  It is something we do often during the cooler months anyway, and is easily facilitated by having a large family and a good amount of room to run in my backyard.

Today, we finallyput it together and had about 12 of us
over at my house creating an opportunity to rack up some miles for the Insain Bolts.  We had a great time for about two hours as we played flag football, Ultimate Frisbee (with a football) and wrapped up with a short game of kickball.

We had a good time and great exercise, especially the Ultimate Frisbee (football), you almost end up running non-stop the entire time, mileage wise, it might even be better to wear the pedometer.

I look forward to doing more in the
future, this competition creates that extra little nudge to get outside and do something to get some exercise and for us, it even creates us an opportunity to spend time with our family, engaging in fun activities and creating memories.

Go Bolts!  After this week, we will be over 10% complete!
